Arca vs Picatinny for a hunting rifle — does the interface actually matter?
Building a 6.5 Creedmoor for longer shots on public land, and I'm trying to figure out if I should go Arca rail or stick with Picatinny for bipod mounting. I own a decent Harris bipod already and don't have strong feelings about switching if Arca is genuinely better in the field. Question is whether the interface itself changes how the gun shoots or if it's just a convenience thing. What's the real difference when you're actually taking a shot?
