Glock 43

Glock's single-stack subcompact 9mm for deep concealment.

The **Glock 43** is Glock's single-stack subcompact 9mm, introduced in 2015 to compete in the deep-concealment market that the Smith & Wesson Shield and Springfield XD-S were then dominating. It is a genuinely small pistol: 6+1 capacity standard, 1-inch wide slide, and a grip most hands find just long enough. The **Glock 43X** (2019) adds a longer grip and a 10- or 15-round magazine and is, for most people, the better buy — closer to a Glock 19's shootability in a slimmer package. The 43 is a pocket-holster, appendix-carry, or ankle-holster gun. It is not a range gun to shoot for fun, and it is not comfortable to shoot past 100 rounds in a session. It does one job — disappear under a T-shirt — and does it well.
