P365 X-Macro vs Glock 43X for AIWB?

Looking at the P365 X-Macro and the G43X for AIWB carry. They're similar external size, similar capacity with the 15-round Shield Arms magazine on the 43X. What's the honest comparison in 2026?

Both are genuinely excellent carry pistols and you will not be wrong with either. Key differences:

**Capacity:** X-Macro is 17+1 standard; 43X with Shield Arms S15 is 15+1. Close enough that it usually isn't the deciding factor.

**Trigger:** The X-Macro trigger (especially with the flat-face variant) is noticeably better than the 43X trigger. Crisp break, cleaner reset. The 43X trigger is fine; the X-Macro trigger is genuinely good.

**Optics cut:** X-Macro comes optics-ready in most SKUs. 43X MOS exists but runs thinner on aftermarket optics compatibility.

**Ecosystem:** Glock wins on holster and accessory availability, no question. X-Macro is close but 43X options are deeper.

**Reliability record:** Glock wins on long-term track record. The P365 family has had documented recall and drop-safety history; none of it recent, but it exists. Glock 43X has essentially no equivalent story.

**Grip feel:** Subjective. Many people prefer the P365 grip; many prefer the 43X.

**My take:** If you'll shoot it a lot and want the better out-of-box trigger and native optics compatibility, X-Macro. If you prioritize ecosystem depth, holster availability, and a pure track record, 43X with the S15 magazine.

Either will serve you well. Go shoot both if your range rents them.
