SureFire

**SureFire** is an American tactical lighting manufacturer founded in 1979 as Laser Products Corporation, the original maker of the laser sight that became the industry baseline for combat handgun illumination. Today SureFire makes weapon lights (**Scout Light** rifle series, **X300** pistol series), handheld flashlights, and suppressors. The weapon lights are expensive, overbuilt, and the baseline against which every competitor is measured. For serious-duty use — home defense, patrol, military — SureFire is the default. The brand has pricier cousins and cheaper alternatives, but the combination of candela output, beam quality, durability, and warranty support has been hard to match for 40 years.
