**Staccato** (formerly STI International) is a Texas-based pistol maker specializing in double-stack **2011** pistols — the wide-frame descendant of the 1911 developed for practical pistol competition in the 1990s. The current lineup spans the **C2** (carry-size), **P** (competition-sized), **XC** (optics-cut competition), and the new **HD** duty pistol. All of them are expensive: base prices start around $2,500 and competition-configured guns cross $3,500 before optics. What you get for the money is a hand-fit 2011 from a factory that treats fit and trigger quality the way custom 1911 shops do. For serious competitive pistol shooters and for civilians who have decided a 2011 is what they want, Staccato is the mainstream answer where there used to be only custom shops.
