**.300 Norma Magnum** is a Scandinavian magnum cartridge that has quietly become the standard for U.S. military precision units working beyond 1,500 meters. It's a true extreme-long-range cartridge — flat, fast, and punishing at distance. It is also punishing at the shoulder. Recoil, muzzle blast, and barrel wear all scale with velocity, and .300 Norma does not apologize for either. Expect to burn a barrel in 1,500–2,000 rounds and to notice every one of them. For civilian competitors, this is the caliber you graduate into when 1,000 yards is a warm-up. For hunters, it's a no-compromise option for elk at extended ranges.
